Day 1 – 21 July 2025: Inauguration of Chintana-25


The first day of the orientation programme for the B.Ed 2025–27 batch at Kaviyattu College of Education, Pirappancode began with great enthusiasm. The inaugural ceremony, “Chintana-25”, was held at 10:00 AM in the college auditorium.


The event started with a welcome speech by Dr. Liby Cheriyan, IQAC Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Physical Science. Following this, the Principal, Dr. Deepthi Karunakaran, delivered the Presidential Address, motivating the new trainees to become effective and compassionate educators.


The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Thankamma P.G. (Secretary, KCE). Felicitations were delivered by Mr. Rahul Prakasam (Manager, KCE) and Mr. Nazeer M (Assistant Professor of Social Science).


After the introduction of faculty members, Mrs. Preethi S (Assistant Professor of Natural Science) led the Teacher’s Oath, reminding students of their noble responsibilities as future teachers.


The session concluded with self-introductions of students, where each trainee got an opportunity to present themselves. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sreekala A.S. (Assistant Professor of General Education), followed by the National Anthem.


The first day concluded successfully by 12:30 PM, officially welcoming the new batch to the college.





Day 2 – 23 July 2025: Yoga and Art Education


The second day began with a Yoga session conducted by Mr. Irshad, where students were introduced to the importance of yoga and physical fitness. The morning session included breathing exercises, stretching, and discussions on the benefits of staying fit.


Later, the Principal explained the syllabus, giving students a clear idea about the academic structure and expectations for the coming two years.


In the afternoon session, an Art Education class was conducted by Mr. Santhosh. Students were asked to draw and paint on a large white cloth using fabric paints. The theme of the activity was “Our Dream World”, where students expressed their imagination through colors and creativity. By the end of the session, a beautiful collective art piece was created, symbolizing teamwork and shared dreams.





Day 3 – 25 July 2025: Communicative English and Minor Games


The third day started with a Communicative English class led by Mr. Joseph Varghese, who helped students improve their language and communication skills through interactive activities.


In the afternoon session, minor games were conducted, including dodgeball for endurance and concentration, stone games for balance and coordination, and pair games to encourage teamwork. These activities brought energy and bonding among students.





Day 4 – 28 July 2025: Nature Club Inauguration & Academic Session


The morning session witnessed the inauguration of the Nature Club – Econexus. The event was held in connection with Nature Conservation Day. Teachers organized a quiz competition on nature conservation, and students were encouraged to gift plants to their “nature friends” as part of the event.


Competitions like essay writing and slogan writing on nature conservation were also conducted, helping students reflect on the importance of environmental protection.


In the afternoon, students read an 8th-standard textbook and wrote down objectives and concepts under the guidance of their class teacher, marking the beginning of their academic activities.





Day 5 – 29 July 2025: Aerobics and Moon Day Celebration


The morning session was filled with energy as Mr. Irshad led an aerobics session. Students, along with Gopika and Renathy, participated actively, enjoying the workout that helped burn calories and improve fitness.


Later, Moon Day celebrations were conducted. Teachers organized quiz competitions in three sections and a music competition on the theme “Songs related to the Moon.”


The afternoon session was dedicated to chart preparation on verbs and types of verbs (English). This activity helped trainees develop creative teaching aids.





Day 6 – 30 July 2025: Campus Exploration and Blog Writing


The sixth day of orientation began with a campus walk and spot photography session led by Mr. Naseer, where students explored the college premises and captured memorable moments.


Later, Ms. Sreenandhana introduced students to blog writing, explaining how to create effective and engaging blogs.


In the afternoon session, an aptitude test was conducted for all trainees, helping them assess their basic skills and abilities.





Day 7– 31 July 2025: Theatre Practice and Blog Writing


The seventh day of the orientation programme began with an interactive theatre practice session led by Mr. Suni. Through various role-play activities and practical exercises, he trained the student-teachers on how to build a friendly rapport with students, make classes more engaging, and create a positive classroom atmosphere. The session was lively and helped trainees understand the importance of creativity and bonding in teaching.


In the afternoon session, the continuation of blog writing and other academic tasks took place. Students worked on documenting their orientation experiences and refining their written reflections, helping them develop better writing and presentation skills.


The day ended on an insightful note, as students not only learned about effective classroom interaction but also continued enhancing their communication through blogs and collaborative activities.



The Chintana-25 orientation programme was a comprehensive and enriching experience for the new batch of teacher trainees. Through a blend of academic sessions, fitness activities, creative expressions, environmental awareness programmes, and skill development tasks, the programme succeeded in igniting the spirit of teaching within the participants.


Conclusion 

The thoughtfully curated sessions helped the students ease into their roles as future educators, ready to embrace both responsibility and innovation. The orientation not only laid a solid academic foundation but also instilled a sense of belonging, confidence, and motivation in every trainee.
